SUPPORT A CHILD'S EDUCATION

Our sister organization, World of God, provides a convenient way to provide a scholarship for a student's education at ICB (Institute Classique de Bayonnais), an accredited and established school that would otherwise be unavailable to them, opening doors of opportunity through quality education. For $40 per month you and your family can begin a personal relationship with a student and their community. You will exchange letters and photographs. You will have an opportunity to visit the student if you are interested in traveling to Haiti.

Your scholarship will provide a uniform, Shoes, School Supplies, Electricity for School, Portion of teachers’ salaries, Access to a library, and one hot meal each day. Give a child a opportunity to improve their life and achieve all they can!

school

SUPPORT THE SCHOOL

Education is the cornerstone of the OFCB ministry.  The OFCB founders believe it is the only way to truly change the circumstances of the people of Bayonnais and Haiti.

The highly successful school has 2,000 preschool through high school students, 60 teachers and additional support staff.  The school provides the students one meal each school day and for some of the students it is their only meal.  While the parents pay tuition as they can, (many cannot) there is a continuous need for funds to keep the school operating.

SUPPORT THE MEDICAL CLINIC

The medical clinic is operating in the initial building that is part of the long range plan for a 30 bed hospital.  Help fund the growing medical clinic that is staffed by members of the community who found unprecedented opportunities for medical education through OFCB.  Read the latest clinic status report here. 1. sponsoring a nurse for 3 years @ $6,000/year
  2. sponsoring community health education visits @ $300
  3. funding a vaccination program for a year @ $3,000
  4. funding medication supply for a month @ $750 or
  5. a years supply of HIV test kits @ $7,600.

JOIN US ON A MISSION TRIP

Visiting OFCB Ministries in Bayonnais, Haiti is one great way for you or your church to truly connect with our brothers and sisters in Haiti.   The continued support for the OFCB ministry depends on relationships  between people as we work together.  During a typical mission trip time is spent getting to know the people of OFCB Ministries and the people of Bayonnais.  The guest house can accommodate up to 12 people.  If one or two folks from your church wish to go, there is often space with another church group.

agronomy

SUPPORT THE AGRICULTURAL INITIATIVE

Most farmers in the Bayonnais region work every day to survive. They have few tools and face challenges from rocky, hilly terrain, soil erosion during heavy rains and low crop yields due to lack of fertilizer and insecticides.  A community garden was established in 2012 on land surrounding the medical clinic.  Here, the OFCB Agronomists demonstrate modern farming techniques and do workshops with local farmers.

  • Agronomy Program Focus
  • Increase production yields by teaching farmers modern agricultural practices
  • Soil conservation and erosion control
  • Monitor environmental quality
  • Community Education Workshops
  • Composting Programs
  • Established a small store of agricultural inputs (seed, fertilizer, etc.) for local farmers
